**About this Job** ------------------ **DISTRICT 58 \- Unit 051 – Chase** **JOB NUMBER:** **58/50494630/EIA\-E5/5\.26\.26\-JB** The overall function of this position is to assist the Engineer 7 and the Engineer 6 with managing the District’s Bridge Inspection and Maintenance Program. This includes the operation, planning, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fixed and movable bridges and dam structures to ensure a safe and cost effective maintenance program in accordance with maintenance system standards, budget policy, and procedures. This position is located in District 58, Unit 051 of the Department of Transportation and Development and reports directly to the Engineer 6\. **Minimum Qualifications** -------------------------- Eligibility for a Louisiana Engineer Intern Certificate. NOTE: This is a temporary position to be utilized while the incumbent is securing a Louisiana Engineer Intern certificate. Permanent status shall be denied to incumbents occupying this position.
