Most controllers spend their careers working within a single company’s accounting department. In this role, you will serve as the senior accounting leader across a diverse portfolio of growing businesses and nonprofit organizations—including software, managed IT, transportation, healthcare, construction, and professional services. You will lead a team of accounting professionals providing outsourced accounting and fractional CFO services to clients that need sophisticated financial leadership without maintaining a full in\-house finance department. **What You Will Do** Your work will center on three core areas: **Own the Financial Reporting** Lead monthly and annual close processes across your client portfolio. Review the team’s work, resolve accounting issues, and ensure that every financial statement delivered to a client is accurate, timely, GAAP\-compliant, and defensible. **Build the Accounting Infrastructure** Design and improve the systems that support reliable financial reporting, including internal controls, account reconciliations, workpapers, close calendars, accounting policies, and process documentation.
